There is no vanity in wanting to look your best. We all want to look pleasing to ourselves, and others. Billions of dollars are spent every year on surgical cosmetic procedures, liposuction and injections of possible harmful substances, all to give the appearance of youth, but does nothing to heal the body. Right combinations can produce excellent looking results. It is not a wrong thing to do, and is understandable in certain circumstances. But, too much nipping and tucking can make skin look unnatural and shiny, leaves scars and needs down time to heal. We like to offer a more natural approach to reducing the harshness of aging, and sculpting the body.
The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture technique is coupled with additional therapies, customized to meet your needs. There is little to no down time for healing. The acupuncture and other modalities used not only create a more youthful look for your face and neck that can last 3-5 years, depending on lifestyles, but provides body acupuncture to promote balance, as well.
Lipo Laser sessions implode fat cells from those hard to target areas of the body, such as, abdomen, inner thighs, 'love handles', buttocks, and arms. This implosion of fat cells (not shrinking them) transforms them into a liquid form the body can use for energy, or eliminate as waste products.
Vacuum Massage+ can be added to the Lipo Laser, as an extra benefit to promote circulation, and enhance your treatments.
Face/Neck Re-imaging creates a more youthful appearance. Customized options are available.

Q; At what age should I be concerned with my look?
A: Truthfully, at any age. Teens may have issues with acne, 20-30 year old may be showing signs of fine lines, 40 year old and up are moving into a new stage of hormonal changes with signs of fine lines and wrinkling, dehydration, hard to slough of dead skin cells, and anyone can have deposits of adipose tissue, in hard to get rid of areas.
Q: What increases our signs of aging?
A: Many factors can take place in this area; constitution, nationality, habits, eating foods that don't suit our bodies, etc. For example, if you are a smoker, or drink through straws, you are likely to develop fine lines above the lips. Smoking can lead to asphyxiating the skin resulting in lack of circulation leading to acne and may have an adverse affect on your results. Lighter and dryer skin is more likely to develop signs of aging faster than someone who has more oils in their skin. But, we like to look at our services as aging, gracefully - Pro-Aging.
Q: I exercise regularly, but I still have areas of fat that I can't get rid of. What can I do?
A: If you are a "pear" type of body, you are more likely to develop excess fat around the thighs and butt. If you are an "apple" type of person, you are more likely to develop fat around the waist. Cortisol plays a part in belly fat, and increases in times of stress. This type of fat can surround the organs which becomes much more destructive and life threatening.
Sometimes exercising those areas does not always reduce the adipose tissue. Ultrasonic Cavitation is a non-invasive way to reduce the excess fat by imploding the fat cells, so that the body can use it as energy, or eliminate it through natural means that the body was designed to do.
Q: What is the difference between Cosmetic Acupuncture using needles, micro-needling, and/or derma rollers?
A: All are meant to reverse the signs of aging and improve the appearance of your skin. MICRO-NEEDLING and DERMA ROLLING, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), create a controlled wound response without abrading the epidermis, essentially to thicken the skin. Micro needling is done through an automated "pen" device which delivers acupuncture type needles to the skin at a rapid pace with settings that can be altered, while derma rollers have needles permanently fixed that are literally 'rolled' over the skin, and the pressure and speed are determined by the hand of the practitioner. Both can be painful, cause bleeding, and leave the skin with a prolonged erythema (redness). There can be few to several days of down time for this to disappear and these procedures only address the outside appearance.
COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE is done through needling using very small needles that are superficially placed into acupuncture points, usually in the face and neck, but it can also be used in the abdomen for regulating the digestive and/or reproductive systems, and can increase libido. The needles bring increased Qi and blood flow to the face and neck, and production of collagen and elastin are enhanced. Since this system uses Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the practitioner also uses points in the body to complete the balancing of energy. Therefore, you receive physical, emotional, and spiritual health - all of which are reflected in the skin. Cosmetic Acupuncture treats the whole person, not just the outside appearance. Skin is an organ that should be cared for from the inside, as well as the outside. There may be an occasional bruising at a point, but mostly there is no down time, and results will begin to show by the fourth treatment (coming twice a week for five to six weeks). These treatments will not only address fine lines and wrinkles and diminish the effects of deeper lines, but will increase moisture, even skin tones, improve muscle tone, reduce puffiness, and more. Results vary but can last 1-5 years, depending on lifestyle habits and maintenance.
